Drawing Hotei?

If anyone wants to take a crack at drawing Hotei I'd like provide a little nudge as to what he looks like and some related activities.

1. He's a troll.
2. Big tusks. Big Mouth. (I like the look of Warhammer Orks etc)
3. Big horns.
4. Skin a darker yellow/green
5. He's fat, but I picture it mostly in his gut.
6. He wears chinese inspired clothing.
7. He plays Go and Chess... sometimes with spirits if no one will play with him.
8. He drinks and smokes a long pipe.
9. He plays a flute. Ok, not really. He just makes noise with it.

I'll post image ideas when I get home tonight.

I draw pretty well, but it takes a long time for me to get it done... If you like, I could post some of the things I've done to see if you care for the style at all (that way I don't put a bunch of work into something that's doomed to come out as something you won't like for your character.)

That looks cool! His horns are a bigger (thicker), but this looks great! He also walks hunched over with his staff. I'll post some image concepts tonight. Been really busy. =)

You've got some real talent!

Thank you, unfortunately I don't think I really have a strong foundation as an artist and my naval career made my drawing hobby take a back seat. The ultimate result is I can get decent base design down but rarely produce what I would call a finished product. I'm considering picking up a tablet drawing pad so I can actually do stuff on my laptop that looks presentable.

Just checking on tablets online... The decent ones run from $1-200 and come with Adobe Photoshop Elements (Version unspecified) which is a $70-150 program that I already own. Anyone intrested in a legit copy of Photoshop as a favor/gift/reasonable price?

i'm not quite done. but i would recomend to anyone who wants to work on photoshope to get a bamboo tablet. Like i said it comes with photo shop and the one i grabbed is 100.
